UPCOMING PROJECTS.
From planting a visitors information center to putting together maps and publications that highlight the region, we have exciting things happening here at Ozarks South Central Tourism that will benefit our people and our region.
As a certified Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), aka Visitors Bureau, Ozarks South Central Tourism has a special superpower to tap into the "Promote Missouri Fund" through a Marketing Matching Grant. This grant is only available to DMOs certified via the Division of Tourism - through a special certification process. ​

Through your donations, we can tap into these funds to market the rich cultural experiences travelers are seeking out. From billboards to creating new publications, the sky's the limit with how we can tell the world what's special about the Ozarks.

Visitor Center
Various Locations
Visitor Information Centers are a staple of any thriving region. These hubs offer folks a place to gather information, ask questions, and plan their routes. Each visitor center will showcase regional attractions, rack cards, maps, and publications.
​
We are currently looking at a building in Ava and a Caboose in Mansfield to plant our first Visitor Center.
FAM Tours
Various Locations
FAM Tours - otherwise known as "Familiarization Tours", these strategically planned tours bring together travel agents, travel writers, influences, bloggers, and journalists to experience and then document their adventures through the Ozarks. These tours are a great resource as they can be used strategically to market to visitors traveling from other states.
Publications & Maps
Douglas, Webster, & Wright County
From highlighting the counties and communities, that make up our little piece of the Ozarks, to creating mercantile, mill, and opry trails highlighting our heritage and culture. Publications and maps are necessary in letting travelers know what we have to offer, and how to find it.
Amazing Grazing Farm Tasting Tour
Come on out and help be a part of the crew for the 2nd Annual Amazing Grazing Farm Tasting Tour. ​Next year we're looking at two separate farm tours. There will be lots to do from event planning and logistics, to fundraising, to making sure that everything is running smoothly the day of! This is a great event to meet new people, celebrate your local farmers, and have lots of fun!
Tourism Talks
Speaker Series
By being a part of the "Tourism Talks Team", you get a special bird's eye view on what it takes to create an ongoing speaker series. Join the team and help schedule speakers with expert knowledge on implementing tourism strategies. We'll be hosting top down officials from the Governor and Representatives, to skilled experts on specific tools. Whether you are an event planner or want to man the registration table, we've got a place for you!

Content, Newsletter & Digital Marketing
Calling all travel writers, bloggers, and marketers! Are you someone who loves to explore, learn more about the area you live, and share your stories? This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to broaden skills in marketing. Whether you are just getting your feet wet, or are experienced in the field - we need your help! Opportunities include: becoming a roving reporter, guest content, newsletter writing, digital marketing, and more!
